One of the main differences between the different variations of Baccarat is the position of the banker and who undertakes it. If you play Baccarat Chemin de Fer you will notice that the role of the bank is played by different players. The banker position passes clockwise from player to player every time the banker loses. The house, however, provides the banker with funds throughout the game. The role of the banker can be passed to the next player. Each Baccarat game has the same principle. The player’s hand is to be as close to 9 as possible. The player, who plays the role of the banker, deals each player four cards, then the cards are turned over and their value is summed. Traditionally if the total is lower than 5, the player draws one more card, if the total is 5 or higher the player stands. The total of the hands is then compared and the player with the best hand (closest to 9) wins.

Before the game starts all active players have to make bets. Bets are made with special chips. The chips are stacked by denomination (, , , 0, 0) at the bottom of the game window. Clicking left mouse button on a chip will choose this chip for the bet. To place the chip on the Baccarat table you have to click on a bet field. If you want a higher wager add one more chip to that placed on the table. You can place as many chips as you have available without exceeding the maximum limit. If you sum the value of all your chips you will get your wager amount. Your bet amount will be shown in the ‘Bet’. Your bet amount can be equal to the minimum bet or higher. If your bet is under the minimum bet amount it will be automatically increased to the minimum limit. The game will start after clicking on the ‘Deal’ button. Cards have different value. Tens and face cards are counted at 0. Aces are valued at 1. Numbered cards except tens are worth their face value. The total of the hand is the sum of the value of all cards in the hand. If the value of the hand goes over 9 the value is counted by subtracting 10 from the total. If you have 8 and 7 (8+7=15 -10=5) the total of your hand is 5. When the first cards are dealt to the player and to the banker they can draw one more card. The player doesn’t ask for a third card. All additional cards are subject to a "Third Card Rule". Neither the banker nor the player can be dealt more than three cards. When two or three cards are dealt the banker’s and the dealer’s total are compared. If the banker’s and the player’s total are equal the hand is called a tie. In the case of tie neither the banker nor the player loses or wins. The total 8 or 9 is called “natural 9”. In the case of a “natural” hand after receiving first two cards no more cards shall be dealt either to the banker or tot the player. If the value of the cards in the Banker's hand on the first two cards is 0 to 7 inclusive, the Player's hand shall draw in accordance with the "Third Card Rules".
