The position of the banker and who undertakes it is the main difference between Baccarat variations. In the version of the game known as Chemin de Fer, the position of the banker passes clockwise from player to player each time the banker loses rather than being fixed by the individual casino. The house, however, provides the banker with funds throughout the game. A player may, if he or she wishes, pass up the opportunity to be the banker; in which case, it simply passes to the next person. The objective of each version of the game is the same: to reach 9. The player, who plays the role of the banker, deals each player four cards, then the cards are turned over and their value is summed. A player having a total lower than five will usually draw another card, while a player with a hand greater than 5 will usually stand. The hands are then compared and the person who has the hand closest to 8 or 9 receives the pay-out.

Mini Baccarat is played under the same rules as American Baccarat, but gives players the opportunity to play the game with the lower betting limits in the much more relaxed atmosphere - you can dress as casual as you like.
The table is smaller than in regular Baccarat. Mini Baccarat table is of the same size as Blackjack table. Up to 7 players can seat at the table at the same time.
Areas on the Mini-Baccarat Table: Chip stacks, Commission Boxes, Tie betting area, Banker betting area, Player betting area, The Shoe. Each player has three betting areas in front of him corresponding to his seat. Red circle is to bet on the player hand. Bets on the banker hand can be placed in the yellow circle. To make a bet on a tie the player has to place the bet on the white number. It can be found above the yellow circle.
Croupier seats opposite the players. There is a chip rack in front of him and numbered area used to keep track of the commission that the players owe. The numbers correspond to the number of the players' seats at the table. A central position of the croupier allows him to reach all areas on the table. In Mini-Baccarat players don’t play the role of the banker. It is the duty of the dealer.
All other rules are exact the same as in the large game. Players make bets according to the Betting Rules. Croupier deals four cards face-up, two to the "Player" hand and two to the "Banker" hand. Then the hands are compared. According to the outcome the dealer takes the losing bets and pays out winning ones. On the winning "Banker" hand Croupier pays 1 to 1 and makes notes of the commission that the players owe, which is collected when the player leaves the table.
